What inspired you to start your salon?
I grew up around the hair industry. My uncle owned a hair salon and was a master stylist. I have been blessed to surround myself with the likes of my aunts and godmother that have embraced the beauty industry. They allowed me to shadow their works.
You have a unique business name. What does the name " Zsavets House of Style" represent? My middle name is Zsavet, inspired after my mother's name Zsa Zsa. Zsavet speaks power, class and elegance.
Where are you located?
3365 Main Street, College Park, GA 30337
What type of hair services do you offer?
My team and I offer services for: extensions, silk press, braids, natural styles, locs, and more.
Do you have a favorite hairstyle?
I pride myself on doing hair extensions, updos, and custom wigs.
Are there any challenges you've had to overcome as a salonist?
You hear entrepreneurship and the push to have your own. Yet being an entrepreneur is hard work. Within my first two years being open, my salon flooded. I had insurance, but I wasn't properly covered. I had to rent space to continue to provide service to my clients and manage to get repairs done. This was a major setback. I was determined to reopen my salon. This is the kind of challenge people don't discuss when speaking of the joys of entrepreneurship and a salonist. Over time, you learn the balance because the reward is knowing you are able to provide a space for a stylist to show their craft. The clients leave pleased as they enjoy their moment of self-care.
Can you leave our readers with a daily hair tip to keep their hair healthy?
Most definitely, I have a home care system and a night-time regiment. It is very important that you comb out your hair, wrap your hair with a silk/satin pillowcase, bonnet, or scarf. This helps keep your hair growing, strong, and beautiful. Listen and trust your stylist.

What are some words of advice you can give to future salonist who want to open their own salon?
Be financially ready for hiccups. Make sure you are properly insured and your stylist. This protects them and you. Keep your faith strong. Most importantly, never stop learning.
Outside of your business, what are some other hobbies that you enjoy?
I have a mentoring program called Zsavets Young Hairstylist Entrepreneur where I help young girls grow into their craft.
