What inspired you to start your journey as a podcast host?

My journey becoming a podcast host was inspired by one of the biggest turning points in my life. In September 2018, I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt due to depression. While I was in the hospital, I was diagnosed with major depression. I remember the hospital staff telling me, “Due to this diagnosis, you won’t be able to do a lot of things that normal people are able to do or achieve”. This was enough to light a fire under me. When I was released from the hospital, I vowed that I would do everything that I was told that I could not do. It started with my inaugural podcast #TalkthatMatters. While being in the podcast space for over five years, I have shared my life experiences, struggles, and overcoming challenges in order to help others achieve their success. I have hosted other podcasts such as, “On The Issue”, and my YouTube exclusive Show “Hearts Aligned”.

Tell us more about your beginning experience as a radio broadcast host?

The beginning experience as a radio broadcast host started on a college radio station in 2016 named “Lander XLR”, where I had my own show that aired on Thursday evening. However, I dropped out of college, so the radio broadcasting died along with my dreams of getting a four year degree. I got another shot at it in December 2019. I was approached by WDRBMedia in Charlotte, North Carolina about being a show broadcast host for their Thursday slot at 10:00 pm EST. Ultimately I took the offer. I would work with them until late March 2020 due to a disagreement between the two parties concerning the upcoming renewal contract. When I left them I would go back to being a podcast host, and follow that path until February 2024. I decided to make my newest and most recent podcast, a YouTube exclusive talk show.
