When did you begin your journey with content creation?

This might be a cliche answer, but my dream has always been to be a content creator. I remember getting my first iPhone when I was 13 and instantly asking for Instagram. Unfortunately, my parents didn’t let me get social media for a few years after that, which made me want it even more. As soon as I was allowed to have it, I downloaded every social media platform possible. I'm talking about Musical.ly, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook. I became obsessed with creating content. Now, when did I start to take it seriously? Probably three years ago is when I decided to really kick it into high gear. I remember moving all my dorm furniture around just to get some natural lighting (my roommate wasn’t a fan lol). Even though I was obsessed with content creation for years prior, and started taking it seriously about three years ago, I didn’t start working with brands until about a year ago. I am so blessed to have worked with so many amazing companies.

Your fashion style is so cool! How would you describe your fashion style?

Ahh thank you so much. I have so many different avenues I like to explore with my style. I'd say the best way to describe my style is “lazy girl chic”. Let’s talk about it. I prioritize comfort over everything. If I’m not comfy, then I’m not going lol. As for color, I love a good pop of pink or orange because it works well on my olive complexion. I used to strictly wear leggings and crop tops from like 13-18, but as I’ve gotten older I have experimented with more statement pieces.  Don’t get me wrong, I still love my crop tops, but I try to accessorize more to complete my fit!

What does body positivity mean to you?

To me, body positivity and self-love go hand in hand. This is a topic I’m very passionate about.  Back in high school, my weight would fluctuate a lot and I didn't have much self-love. I constantly worried about how I looked, what I ate, and I definitely had every FaceTune app available on the App Store. There were times when I could barely look at myself in the mirror. I struggled with my
relationship with food and was worried it was going to be that way for the rest of my life. Despite being so hard on myself constantly, I always tried to keep a smile on my face at school. Even though I didn’t have much love for myself, I always wanted to spread love to other people. My senior year I decided to leave high school a year early for a dual enrollment program. I never really thought I would be missed because I was kind of an outcast at school, but over the course of the year, I received so many DM’s from women at school that I didn’t even know, telling me how much of an impact I had on them. This is what really kick-started my mission and the extension of my brand. Realizing that I had an impact on someone else’s self-love and their personal journey made me want to continue making that impact for the rest of my life. My entire mission is to make women feel comfortable and confident in their own skin regardless of their size. To me, body positivity is embracing your healthy body, and loving every inch of it, and that is exactly why I do what I do. This is also why I’ve put myself into the modeling space. I want to be the representation for women my size and build a community of women who constantly uplift each other.

Do you have a favorite clothing store?

Girl, you can’t ask a shopaholic that! There are too many options to choose from!! On the pricier side of things, I do love Aritiza. I love how thick and supportive their clothes are. They really help make me SNATCHED. On the more fun side, I love Goodwill. I like to experiment with my style often. I sometimes wear something once or twice, and then realize I hate it. I love to upcycle. It doesn’t break my heart when I give it away because I only spent like $2.99 on it. Who doesn’t love that?

Do you have a favorite beauty brand?

To be honest, I don’t wear much makeup anymore. I’ve really been focusing on skincare. Like I said in question number one, I’m in my lazy gir era and I’m loving it. Skincare-wise, I love Youth to the People, Peter Thomas Roth, and Kiehl’s!

You also have a vlog? What are some topics that you vlog about?

Yes, I have been getting more into vlogging recently. Back in 2016, it solely focused on makeup, then slowly pivoted to travel vlogs, and now is a little bit of both with some lifestyle sprinkled in. I am still trying to figure out what my audience on YouTube likes, while also trying to build a team of editors to
help get content out quicker. There have been so many times that I've told people stories about my life, and they've told me they “wish they could’ve been there”. I decided to start vlogging so my friends, family, and community can experience things with me.

Is there a favorite country that you traveled to?

I studied abroad in Europe for three months back in college. I didn’t go to many places due to…ya know… being young, dumb, and broke. My favorite place I traveled to was Nice, France. It was so laid back, the people were amazing, the water was gorgeous, and I faced my biggest fear there which was parasailing. Now, this was the most parasailing experience I had ever seen. It was my first time parasailing. If you told me it was their first time sending someone parasailing, then I'd totally believe you. We took off by running on the rock beach and jumping into the air as the boat pulled us into the water. Don’t believe me? You can watch it all on my Nice vlog on my YouTube channel (winky face).

Can you describe your coaching call service and what you offer?

Yes, of course! This is a venture I’m just starting to dabble in. I always get so many questions about my confidence and how I changed my mindset. I decided to do 1-1 coaching calls to help people get to where they want to be. I call them “Confidence Calls with Court”. On top of that, I was starting to receive a lot of questions on how I have been growing my brand. I have also done an “Intro to
Branding” call to help people hit their social media goals!

Outside of content creation, what are some other hobbies that you enjoy?

I have so many activities I love to do!! For starters, my best friend Breanna is a dance instructor, so I take her classes weekly. I also love to travel, watch Netflix, go thrifting, do photoshoots, and go to events like farmer’s markets and art galleries.
