What inspired you to start your journey as a professional speaker?

Often, I reflect on this question from time to time to make sure that I am holding myself accountable, and aligned with my calling and purpose in life. I became a professional speaker to help young people before it's too late. When people ask me what my goal is in life, my answer remains the same. It’s to become the woman I wish I had when I was younger. It intercepts and helps others transcend barriers, regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic status. Being a professional speaker, I can say that my favorite part about speaking is after the engagement is over. It’s connecting with individuals and listening to their stories. As much as I impact lives through speaking, my audience impacts me just as much or more to keep going. My journey is truly surrendering to inspire others.
