What inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey?

When I was 12 years old, my dad collapsed in front of me, and he was unconscious. We rushed him to the hospital, and we found out he had Leukemia that was spreading aggressively throughout his entire body. We were all unsure how he was going to respond to the cancer treatments. During that time, I began door-knocking and started my fundraising journey at the age of 12 years old for the American Cancer Society to help families that were affected by cancer. 12 years later, I was in nursing school. I started to find myself being passionate about making products that were clean and didn't cause health issues. I began to do my research through my nursing school books and classes. I found that certain ingredients were affecting our health. We came up with CostaSea Suncare.

When did you begin the Kristin Tomasello Foundation?

April 2023, right before Miss Florida USA. I started working with the special needs community when I was 15 years old at my high school with the Best Buddies Chapter serving as a Buddy for all of high school. I have not stopped fundraising or volunteering with that community for the past 12 years. I knew that the start of my foundation was born when I was in high school. I just didn't know it yet.
