What inspired you to start Boss Nonprofit Consulting?

I was inspired to start my business by watching my mom’s dedication to her entrepreneurial journey. As a child, I didn’t always understand the long workdays or the constant travel. Looking back, I realize the resilience, commitment, and vision she modeled for me. That foundation stuck with me. As I continued my path in the nonprofit sector, I began to see a recurring issue: Black and Brown-led organizations often lacked access to the resources and support they needed to thrive. That realization sparked something in me. I started Back Office Support Solutions, also known as Boss Nonprofit Consulting, to fill that gap and offer affordable, strategic support to startup and growing organizations to better serve their communities and build lasting impact. It’s not just about consulting. It’s about empowering leaders who’ve often been overlooked and making sure they have the tools to succeed.
